Hip and Lower Back Pain

Physiotherapy

The Pelvic Floor Muscles Could Be the Missing Piece.

Do you have persistent hip or lower back pain that temporarily improves with traditional physical therapy but eventually returns?  Especially if pain is also accompanied by other symptoms related to pelvic floor muscle dysfunction such as urinary incontinence, constipation, or pelvic pain, then the pelvic floor muscles could be the missing link!  A recent study showed that 90% of women who had persistent low back pain also had pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.   A pelvic physical therapist will take a full-body approach to finding the "why" behind your symptoms including a specialized pelvic floor muscle assessment.
