Can I make an appointment even if I do not have symptoms during pregnancy?

Should I make an appointment even if I have seen a different pelvic health therapist in the past?

Absolutely! We are excited to work with expecting parents on optimizing core and pelvic floor function, as well as strength and mobility of the pelvis, hips, and spine. This is so helpful to feel your best during pregnancy, prepare for birth, and set yourself up for postpartum recovery.

Yes! Not all pelvic health physical therapy is created equal. Rushed treatments, lack of therapist expertise or experience, or lack of home programing may have resulted in less than optimal results. We often help patients who are looking for a more effective and tailored approach to care.

Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

Will I have to see multiple providers during my care?

Physician referrals are not required! This means you can start your care with fewer barriers! We do have a large provider/referral network throughout the state, and will happily collaborate with your medical providers and members of your care team to give you the best outcomes possible.

No, you will be able to get comfortable with just one provider throughout your care. This means not being handed off to a rehab aide, and no surprises as to who you will be working with during any visit.

Do you treat all genders?

What should I expect on the first visit?

Yes! Anyone with a pelvic floor can experience pelvic health issues and deserves to find relief in a safe, gender-affirming environment. Our anatomical models and education tools reflect body diversity so that your rehab is truly specific to you.

At your first appointment, we’ll talk about your medical history, symptoms, and goals. You’ll learn how different parts of your body—like your pelvic floor, core, pelvic organs, and more—may be connected to what you’re feeling. Then, we’ll decide together which exams or treatments to start with and create a plan that supports your goals.
